Dr. Nathan Fountain, MD – Charlottesville, VA

Nathan B. Fountain, M.D. is the Thomas E. Worrell, Jr Professor of Neurology and Epileptology, Director of the F.E. Dreifuss Comprehensive Epilepsy Program, and Director of EEG and Epilepsy Fellowships at the University of Virginia School of Medicine where he completed neurology residency as well as clinical neurophysiology and clinical and research epilepsy fellowships.

Dr. Fountain's clinical interests include drug, device, and surgical treatment of epilepsy. His research focuses on clinical trials of new drugs and devices for epilepsy and other clinical research. He was formerly chair of the FDA Advisory Committee for Peripheral and Central Nervous System Drugs and president of the National Association of Epilepsy Centers and the Epilepsy Foundation Professional Advisory Board and is founding co-chair of the Epilepsy Foundation's Research Roundtable for Epilepsy. He sits on the board of directors for Acumen Pharmaceuticals, is co-founder of Hexokine Therapeutics, and is chair of the scientific advisory board for Shackleford Pharma.
